Capitol Trip

Texas Boys State enjoys a close relationship with the state capitol building, located within a few blocks of the University of Texas Jester Center.

On Friday morning, the final day of the program, all students in the Boys State program will assemble and march in a parade to the capitol steps, led by the Boys State color guard and band.

Boys Staters then tour the capitol building and convene in the gallery of the House Chamber to observe the functioning of the Boys State legislature.

Staters are dismissed at 1:00 p.m. from the capitol and return to Jester Center for check-out.

Boys Staters’ family are welcome to watch the parade and the capitol events.
